Recognising & Responding to Child Abuse & Neglect – Health

This training is an introduction to the essentials of safeguarding and child protection for all workers in the health sector. You will gain confidence understanding the impact of child abuse and neglect, knowing what you can do to help prevent it happening and what to do when you are worried about a child or young person. We will also work together to gain confidence in having those difficult conversations with young people and the whānau you work with. This knowledge is essential for everyone who works with our tamariki and rangatahi. You will also learn how to protect your workplace’s reputational risk profile. Our courses have been attended by thousands of people around Aotearoa New Zealand.
