Kōrero mai | Talk to me – Online Course

Hohou Te Rongo Kahuhura – Outing Violence is an organisation dedicated to building Takatāpui and Rainbow communities in Aotearoa New Zealand free of family, partner, and sexual violence.

They have developed an online course – Kōrero mai | Talk to me which is for parents, caregivers, grandparents, aunties and uncles – anyone with children in their life. The course helps with talking about safety, sexuality and gender with children. This can be tricky, but they’ve got lots of great stuff to help.

Safeguarding Children

Safeguarding Children is not a statutory care or protection agency, which means we are unable to intervene directly in matters involving a child’s immediate safety. We provide training, advice and advocacy to help organisations and professionals keep children safe. If you are concerned about a child’s safety, you should contact the appropriate authorities, such as Oranga Tamariki or the Police, who are legally responsible for responding and taking action. To email Oranga Tamariki directly please click here.
