In The Know

The Light Project has launched a new resource for young people worried about what they’re watching online

Check It Out is a new website developed by The Light Project for young people designed to address emerging areas of concern about online sexual content identified by young people themselves, including aggressive porn, AI-generated and cartoon sexual content, ‘incest’ and ‘teen’ porn, and child sexual abuse material.

Check It Out features a series of Q&A’s offering practical information, guidance, checklists, and links to online and offline support services.

The resource was created in collaboration with a range of sexual harm, digital safety, and regulatory agencies to support both young people concerned about what they’re watching and the professionals who support them.
